You guys it’s finally here!!!
The teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has landed, and it looks spectacular!
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. โSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verseโ introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
This feature animated film will introduce Miles Morales as Spider-Man, a bit of news that has been long anticipated and hotly debated.
The reason for the anticipation is clear, Miles is a fan-favorite character that has excited many new readers, and with endless reboots of the Spider-Man franchise, people are getting a little antsy over when Miles will have his shot at the silver-screen.
The reason for the debate is a little more complex, ranging from the loud shouting of angry neck-beards to significantly more legitimate gripes. But the concept at the core of this film – an exploration of a potential multiverse full of Spider-Man, feels like a good way to address those concerns.
And the film’s style is amazing. The digital painting of NYC flash brilliant and cool, and when Mile’s Spider-Sense is triggered we suddenly see everything flashes as line art. Nice.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is in theaters, Christmas 2018.
