Tombstones quake, Keep your finger steady. The circle will close, Better be ready. Fortnitemares has arrived on Fortnite.
Epic, masters of the free-to-play battle royale genre leader, Fortnite, is in the midst of its ghoulishly fun Halloween event, Fortnitemares. With the tagline of “Darkness has risen” this special seasonal event promises some scary rewards for players that complete challenges through the November 26th end point.
As with past Fornite events, Fortnitemares promises to be rife with new skins, heroes, and insane references. Brainiac Jonesy, a new free hero available to all in Save the World mode, was the first addition revealed by Epic, with several other creepy variants quickly joining him.
Other seasonal goodies for those of more… selective tastes, have also made appearances, including a new Jack Gourdon outfit available in the Item Shop that looks suspiciously – no – exactly like a certain Halloween mascot that should best remain unnamed.
Yes. Of course it’s David S. Pumpkins. *sigh*
And yes, the dreaded and beloved Pumpkin Launcher will return to the game, despite the fact that the real world equivalent released by Spirit Halloween are already completely sold out.
From undead versions of Calamity to werewolves, ghouls, ghasts, and goblins, it looks like this year dressing up your favorite Fornite character will be as fun as going out to trick-or-treat for yourself.
