For Black History Month, John and Darin are revisiting a movie that’s aged poorly in no way whatsoever, 1986’s Soul Man! Starring C. Thomas Howell, Rae Dawn Chong, James Earl Jones, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and racism. When white guy Mark Watson pretends to be black to get a scholarship to Harvard, hijinks ensue! Well, more like discomfort and not terribly funny jokes ensue. Stuff ensues, at any rate. It’s a movie SO problematic the SNL Nerds are joined by their producer, Frank Hablawi, to unpack it all.
