When we first decided to burn this year in effigy, we had no idea just how endless the list of all the bad things that have happened in 2016 would be. Notable deaths alone would have taken an hour. We didn’t bring up Syria, or Police Brutality, or the Stanford Rapist. We just started listing awful things until we couldn’t stand thinking about it any longer.
So yeah, this is a non-definitive sampling of the stuff we wish we could literally burn away, now in a convenient effigy format. Feel free to add your personal grievances with this year in the comments.
Here’s hoping we won’t have to do one next year.
