Bonus Round: Yakuza Kiwami 2

Get ready to ready to punch thugs and sing karaoke, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is coming to the west on PlayStation 4.

Kiwami 2 is a new remake of the PS2 cult classic Yakuza 2, and the second Yakuza game to be released this year, after the upcoming Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. A year after the events of Yakuza Kiwami 1, Kazuma Kiryu ex-Yakuza and greatest video game dad ever, is dragged back into the criminal world as war threatens to break out between his former clan and their rivals. Kiryu will not only return to his old stomping grounds in Tokyo, but will also travel to Osaka, where he’ll meet new allies and enemies.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is more than a mere HD touch-up. The game features the new Dragon Engine introduced in Yakuza 6, allowing for seamless exploration between the buildings and streets of Tokyo and Osaka. The Dragon Engine also overhauls the combat in the series, allowing players more freedom of movement in fights and providing plenty of ways to make goons regret getting in your way. Kiwami 2 also introduces new content not seen in the original game, including an arcade-perfect port of Virtual On, a new collaboration with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and a completely new storyline featuring fan-favorite anti-hero, Goro Majima.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is set to be released on August 28th.
