SEASON’S GREETINGS, NONPRODUCTIVEERS!
We are pleased to announce that this year’s advent calendar will feature something near and dear to all of our hearts during this holiday season: Horrible, awful, terrifying puppets and dolls!
It’s Christmas Eve-Eve! We’re proud to present this nightmare on celluloid: 1948’s Santa In Animal Land
What can one say about this short? The lazy off-sequenced blinking eyes, the strange ill-fitting voices, the unspoken Lovecraftian-horror of “Animal Land” where animals walk like men but are denied the gods of men: this thing is just plain creepy.
But by far, the worst part of this film is that at the end of their long quest, the fellowship from Animal Land have tracked down a Santa Claus that’s full-up lurking behind a tree with one of the most demented faces in Christendom.

Plus, Santa’s solution to Animal Inequality is “Separate But Equal” santas for all peoples! Just so long as Mr. Claus doesn’t have to show up in filthy disgusting Animal Land. A guy could get sleigh-jacked.
Yes, Santa in Animal Land is a terrifying journey into the land of imagination. Thanks, god!

OK folks, get excited for tomorrow as we finally rap up our series…
