Batman: The Long Halloween – a Near Mint Comic Re-Read!

The-Long-Halloween

In honor of Geektoberfest, NonPro‘s very own comic book review show, Near Mint is reading Batman: The Long Halloween a 13-issue comic book limited series written by Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale. Originally published by DC Comics in 1996, the story takes place during Batman’s early days of crime fighting. The Long Halloween tells the story of a mysterious killer named Holiday, who murders people on holidays, one each month. Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Captain James Gordon, Batman races against the calendar as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month, while attempting to stop the crime war between two of Gotham’s most powerful families, Maroni and Falcone.

It’s a great time to be a comic-fan, and with Batman returning to the big screen and television sets, it’s the perfect time to get caught up on the essentials. Join us as we take October to re-read Batman: The Long Halloween, and stay tuned for our review show at the end of the month!
